    Annapurna Base Camp Trek Trip Description

    Nepal has 3 major Trekking Region all over the country; Annapurna Region is one of the popular trekking regions. It is situated in the western part on the country. It lies in the lap of Annapurna conservation area which covers some 7,629 square kilometer. It is the first and the largest conservation area in Nepal and also the home of various wild animals, birds and flora and fauna.

    Annapurna Base camp (4130m) trekking is in this region which is another popular trekking trails for trekkers who primarily love to enjoy with the excellent views and eye-catching Himalayan sceneries and nature lovers. Likewise, it is also one of the relaxed walking trails in Nepal through well-defined trekking trails and quality tea houses lodges. Ghorepani Poon Hill Circuit Trekking, Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking, GhorepaniTatopani Trekking, GhorepaniGhandruk Trekking, and natural hot spring in JHINU DANDA are the major attraction of this trek. Annapurna Base Camp is surrounded by many Himalayan ranges which include the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri and famous virgin Holy Mountain fishtail (Machhapuchhre) that dominate the skyline above Pokhara.

    Annapurna Base Camp Trekking starts at Birethanti, a short drive of an hour from Pokhara. The trail takes you through forests and fascinating traditional villages of the Nepal's indigenous communities of Gurung and Magar. The hike continues through heart touching blooming dense rhododendron forest and Bamboo with snowy peaks scenery in the background to Tadapani. After reaching to ChhomrongGurung village,you follow the ModiKhola through the huge rock over hanging, known as HINKU CAVE, you will have noticed that the vegetation has thinned and the gorge narrowed to be only a few hundred meters wide. Steep snow-clad ridges falling from Hiunchuli on the left and Machhapuchhre on the right from the sanctuary. As you enter to the sanctuary, you find yourself in a huge amphitheater enclosed by a solid wall of snowcapped peaks get to Annapurna Base Camp hardly. All the snowcapped mountains around the Annapurna base camp which makes you worthwhile and happy. After this imaging view, you will back down to Pokhara via JhinuDanda, Hot Spring with some small Towns.

    The Annapurna Base Camp trek will be more interesting in spring as the whole forest along the trail turns red, pink and white with Nepali National Flowers called RHODODENDRON. You can find 32 different types of rhododendron flowers in Nepal. Some part of this trek can be done anytime of the year. During the trekking in this region, you will have an opportunity to spot the wild animals, reared birds, Buddhist's monasteries, and blend of cultures of the diverse ethnic groups such as Gurung, Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri. Now a days, you can drive to Ghandruk directly but road is rough and dusty.

    Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary

    Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu.
    On your arrival to the international airport, we assist you to our hotel.

    Day 02:
    Today early in the morning after having done with your breakfast we take you for a short tour over Kathmandu valley sightseeing . World heritage sites, beautiful stupas, small hills and the city. Also prepare for the trek.

    Day 03:
    Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by a tourist bus. 6 hours’ drive and you will be in the paradise city of Pokhara. Visit beautiful lake and Mountain View. Rest for the night.

    Day 04:
    Today early in the morning we drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m). On our way we pass through some beautiful rice, maize farm and the beautiful waterfall to sudami village. Here we will have our lunch. After having our lunch we start climbing up to Hille and then walk to Tikhedhunga.

    Day 05:
    Early today we start our trek to Ghorepani (2880m). On our way we cross Tikhedhunga River on a suspension bridge. Our trail leads us to the large Magars village Ulleri. We explore the place and the trek all the way to Ghorepani. Rest for the night.

    Day 06:
    Today we Hike for Poon Hill (3210m) early in the morning for panoramic view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Following our route we trek for 6-7 hours all the way toTadapani (2680m).

    Day 07:
    Today we trek to Sinuwa (2310m). A 6hour trek from Tadapani takes you to the beauty of nature. Annapurna Base Camp Trek passes through different waterfall and forest. From Tadapani to sinuwa we pass through rhododendron and bamboo forest.

    Day 08:
    Trek to Deurli (3240m). A 6hour trek from sinuwa to Deurli passes through the bamboo forest with variety of rhododendron and oak tree. The trail also takes you through the high and steep rocks area.

    Day 09:
    Today early in the morning we trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4090m). A 4-5 hours trek takes you all the way to Annapurna base camp through Machhapauchhare base camp (3700m). This trail offers you the spectacular view of snowcapped mountains and panoramic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Machhapauchhare. Explore the beauty of Himalayas and view the astonishing view of sunset over mountains. Rest for the night at the camp.

    Day 10:
    Today after having the glimpse of sunrise over Annapurna we trek down to Bamboo (2310m). The trail leads down through rhododendron forest and variety of oak tree all the way down to bamboo.

    Day 11:
    From bamboo we start our trek to Chhomrong (2080m) following the river and crossing the suspension bridge. A 5-6 hour walk from bamboo will take you cross a small gurung village all the way to chhomrong.

    Day 12:
    toady we trek to Ghandruk (1960m). 6 hour walk and you will be provided with the fascinating scenic view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The trail passes through rhododendron and oak trees all the way to Ghandruk. Rest for the night and enjoy the hospitality and culture of people around.

    Day 13:
    Finally we trek back all the way down to Nayapul and then drive back to Pokhara. 3hour trek and an hour of drive back to Pokhara. Rest for the night and enjoy the paradise city of Nepal.

    Day 14:
    Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist. Rest for the night, we assist you to our hotel.
